On manufacturing plants of Biasi at release of advanced technology heating equipment a strict quality control is carried out , that guarantees the high quality of produced goods. Compliance with quality standards is a priority of BIASI, that’s why a strict control is provided at each stage of production.
For instance, the plant Fondver, where the two production lines produce cast iron heat exchangers and radiators, the chemical composition of iron is measured before mixing the components, every hour during the melting process, both on the test castings and selectively on finished sections. Any deviation from permissible values is always found, and poor quality products are being withdrawn at any stage of production. Even in the case of defects revealing in consumer’s products, the whole batch of products is identified and taken aside for the revising treatment. Finished products also pass thorough examination: both heat exchangers, and radiators are tested under the critical permitted pressure.
The quality control of boilers is particularly worth mentioning. After all this is the kind of equipment, reliability of which human security depends on, therefore, special requirements are laid on its quality. The Biasi enterprises observe a very strict quality control of production, which is carried out at several stages. The first stage is testing of components. At the preliminary stock selectively or entirely the whole batch of coming details is tested, depending on the type of product and supplier. The second stage is checking the assembly. With automatic control machines at each assembly operation tightness and correctness of all connections are tested. If a defect (up to micro leakage of gas) is found, production line is blocked and not working up until failure is detected and fixed. The third stage is testing of finished products. They are selectively tested in a laboratory center: tests at different temperatures, under increased pressure, at maximum capacity (for example, the degree of depreciation of 10 hours of such work corresponds to the normal operation of the boiler for 10 years).
